Event of the Week: RHA Superbowl Party
Updated: Mar 9, 2020
After 50 long years of a continuous losing streak, the Chiefs have obtained the ultimate prize in the National Football League, the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Nearing the centennial of football being invented, which was on August 20th, 1920, The Chiefs played against my favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers' last super bowl win was in 1994 with a follow up of many arrivals. In this clash the 49ers and the Chiefs, the 49ers came up short losing to the Chiefs 31 to 20. For the Chiefs, this did break their record of losses due to the super bowl arrival.
The party that took place in Petro Hall was a great turnout with a bunch of students as fans. There was everything from great prizes to an incredible guessing game. On top of the activities, there was pizza and wings that were so good we ran out within the first 20 minutes of the game. The reactions to the commercials were hilarious. The halftime show was a dance party in our seats. Overall the party was a success and the game was just ok. It would have been better if the 49ers won.
